Digital Marketing Manger / Lead



Purpose of the role

If you are excited by the opportunity to be at the cutting edge of revolutionising a historically traditional sector, now is your time to shine!  The Digital Marketing Specialist will be instrumental in driving our digital sales and marketing strategy for the business. Reporting to the Head of Marketing they will be a highly energetic and analytical person that has a proven experience in digital marketing with specific experience in lead generation activity online. Their

role is to gain awareness and drive sales online to support our new online insurance offering.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Define the Digital Marketing Strategy that will help achieve the company’s growth plans over the next 3-4 years
  • Drive the strategy and optimisation of lead/sales generation activity that will increase both online sales and assisted sales through our contact centre.
  • Working closely with our digital partners, identify and scale successful demand generation methods, using new lead generation tools & techniques
  • Support our business to develop capabilities across;
    • SEO, optimizing our site and supporting off-page optimisation efforts
    • PPC & Remarketing. Defining the paid search and re-marketing strategy, running the paid
    • search account on a day to day basis.
    • Prospect target definition and specific targeting campaigns
    • Social media, defining the strategy and executing paid, earned and owned activity
  • Manage the digital marketing budget. Ensure spend is tracked back to impact and performance and prepare monthly updates on digital spend vs impact.
  • Tracking and Measurement – through Google Analytics and other relevant tools, monitor and measure the performance of the websites, campaigns, competitors and other goals – provide the information in clear and concise reports. Of most importance, is the ability to track digital activities impacts on sales, revenue per customer and defining a reporting format that allows for detailed analysis across the wider business.
  • Establish KPIs for all marketing activity whilst continuously tracking performance to ensure marketing efforts are delivering expected business outcomes

Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills, and proven track record in making data-driven decisions to continually optimise performance and determine future strategy
  • Experience of managing multi-channel digital marketing campaigns
  • Knowledge of demand generation funnels and a willingness to work towards digital sales targets
  • Successfully challenge the business thinking around digital performance
  • Excellent knowledge of PPC – setting up campaigns, managing paid search accounts, optimizing performance, reporting on AdWords performance, tracking activity impact and driving traffic and increasing sales
  • Up to date knowledge of the broader paid space media either through application or management of a digital media agency
  • Good knowledge of SEO – helping us to gain favourable results through organic search
  • Excellent knowledge of the latest email marketing techniques and tools with evidence of previous experience developing, trigger marketing campaigns, lifecycle communications and targeted campaigns based on applied segmentation.
  • Experience of CRM platforms, marketing automation and remarketing
  • Understanding of the role of content in the digital marketing mix
  • Social media experience (not essential). Can demonstrate experience of platform management and use of social media tooling, recognizes the role of social media platforms in the sales process across paid, earned and owned channels.
