As a Digital Marketing Officer, you will be a digital guru with the ability to manage some traditional marketing tasks also. You will be a whizz at multitasking, highly organised, a good communicator, able to show initiative, own your role and take direction well.

Our client is based in Blanchardstown. Salary €30,000 – €35,000 + Pension & Health insurance

Job Description and Person Specification

You will need to be proficient in all things social media and understand how important engaging multimedia content is for the brand and our customers. You will lead the social media strategy to boost the brand image and customer engagement. This involves managing all online presence by developing a strategy, producing good content, analysing usage data, developing monthly reports, facilitating customer service and managing other projects and campaigns. You will also need to support the overall marketing plan for the year.

Although the above is a key part to this role as Digital Marketing Officer, the role will also combine other marketing and communications responsibilities as per below.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Marketing & Communications Manager in their day to day roles and delivering on ad-hoc marketing projects as specified.
  • Working with the Marketing & Communications Manager to implement the annual marketing plans for both the company and its clients.
  • Take full ownership of the social media strategy, social media budget and social media content creation (Graphics, Videos, Podcast uploads and Blogs) to support business goals and the wider marketing plans, scheduling social media content each month and maintaining social platforms.
  • Working to manage campaigns across the website – SEO, PPC, Social Media, Email marketing and Display.
  • Assist with the creation of granular audience segments to target customers through all the digital and social campaigns.
  • Assist with sponsorship management and seek out ways to promote company partnerships.
  • Producing marketing collateral (including production of brochures, surveys, flyers, presentations, outdoor signage) to underpin the delivery of all marketing plans.
  • Report and measure the success of all activity with regards to digital and social campaigns bydefining the metrics, ensuring KPI’s are hit and optimising campaigns based on the performance & data insights.
  • Organisation of company events (internal and external), lunches and conferences
  • Assist in the management of the internal communications plan and develop engaging internal content by working with all company departments.
  • Manage and build relationships with key marketing suppliers and take full ownership of the management of marketing purchase orders and updating the marketing budget tracker on amonthly basis.


  • 2 – 3 years’ similar digital marketing experience, working in a team-based environment
  • Degree or postgrad in marketing, digital marketing qualification, communications, or another relevant area.
  • Knowledge of most of the following – Google Marketing Suite (Search, Display), YouTube,
  • Facebook, Facebook ads manager and insights, Twitter, Twitters ads manager and analytics,
  • LinkedIn, Zendesk, Hootesuite, Spotify and Android/IOS app stores publisher.
  • Experience with the Roxen Content Management System is a plus, or any CMS system.
  • Experience with app management and maintenance would be a bonus

Job Description and Person Specification

  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in Google Analytics and BI Tools
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to create compelling content whether it be in copy or visual format.
  • MS Office skills; Word, Excel and PowerPoint in particular.
  • Experienced creating paid campaigns, from concept creation to conclusion
  • Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills are essential – Photoshop and InDesign in particular.
  • Knowledge of SEO would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge and experience with creating monthly reports using raw data and dashboards would be advantageous

Personal Specification:

  • You have a positive can-do attitude, are highly self-motivated, a creative thinker and implementer, a strong team player and have meticulous attention to detail.
  • You will have some previous exposure to all elements of the marketing mix and already have strong project management, copywriting and administration skills.
  • You should also be keen to further develop your commercial acumen, entrepreneurial spirit and ability to influence key stakeholders at all levels.
