Junior Business Developer

The Role

Due to their continued growth our client are currently recruiting for a Junior Business Developer. They will be responsible for winning new business and selling our services to potential new clients and our existing customer base. The role will include full account management of clients. They take great pride in developing lasting relationships using their flawless communication skills to sell their services to customers by phone and email. They will go the extra mile to understand the needs of each one of our customers. They will be offering a tailored account manager service adding real value to their business and offering unrivalled accountability in the industry.

Focusing on the Global, European import / export business – road, sea, air. Generating leads and securing new customers. Managing an allocated customer account list with a view to increasing existing business, while ensuring 85-90% retention rate across allocated accounts.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To promote the services offered by our client
• Generate new business – ensuring that all viable sales opportunities are identified and converted into revenue. Manage growth and development of active key accounts in line with targets
• Achieving and managing delivery of sales growth targets for allocated accounts
• Outbound calls to prospects. Answering inbound calls from both potential and existing customers
• Take and process orders in an accurate manner
• Account proposals and agreements
• Planning and organizing time efficiently (i.e. call planning)
• Completion of all administrative work, as required
• Contribution of ideas on sales initiatives
• Building and maintaining relationships with colleagues

Qualifications / Experience

Ideally you should have:

• Third level business / Transport & logistics qualification
• Proven track record of sales development within the freight / business to business sector

Skills/Competencies

• Effective organizational and communication skills
• Committed and target focused
• Capable of developing strong client relationships
• Excellent planning and preparation skills
• Presentation skills – speaks clearly and convincingly
• Time management skills essential
• Excellent command of MS Office and CRM Software
