Marketing & Communications Manager

Marketing and Communications Manager for Ireland will lead the company marketing strategy, internal and external communications and public relations activities in the country. As the Marketing and Communications Manager you will lead the marketing and communications activities for our client.  This role is responsible for driving the development of effective communications strategies and implementing supporting tactics that create a clear vision for operations Ireland. It is a player manager type role (managing a team of 2 other marketing professionals).

This role will sit on the Senior Management Team and report directly to the CEO.

 Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop short and long-term plans and budgets for the marketing/communications/PR programs and its activities, monitor progress, assure adherence and evaluate performance
  • Create and implement the marketing strategy for the client and internally
  • Plan and manage the communications strategy for the company
  • Lead marketing and communications initiatives which includes brand awareness, ad campaigns, interactive and digital marketing, website, app and social media.
  • Oversee and manage the development of the company website.
  • Working closely with internal departments to understand and analyse key trends and build marketing campaigns around them
  • Undertake, critically analyse and react to customer research, current market conditions and competitor information
  • Managing and developing the relationships of the creative, media and print agencies
  • Responsible for a team of 2; Marketing Assistant and Digital Marketing Executive
  • Identify and create PR opportunities to maximise media coverage
  • Research and evaluate new service opportunities, demand for new website functionality and customer needs and insights
  • Undertake, critically analyse and react to customer research, current market conditions and competitor information
  • Report on all marketing activity internally and to the client
  • Be the internal voice for the organisation.
  • Help make sure that the organisation’s philosophy, mission and vision are pertinent and practiced throughout the organisation
  • Identify opportunities to reach new market segments and expand market share.
  • Monitor and lead a team of marketing managers.
  • Help develop and monitor policies to ensure the integrity of the organisation.
  • Monitor competition and their new products and price changes
  • Determine and manage the marketing budget and deliver marketing activity within agreed budget
  • Undertake, critically analyse and react to customer research, current market conditions and competitor information
  • Monitor, review and report on all marketing activity/communications
  • Report on return on investment and key performance metrics
  • Create marketing presentations
  • Responsible for the budget and deadlines
  • Maintain a good relationship with the client and the stakeholders

Personal Specification:

  • BSc/MSc in Marketing or related field
  • 8 years + Marketing experience
  • Strong Analytical and Project management skills
  • Account Management
  • Confident and Autonomous
  • Strong Creative outlook
  • Excellent people management skills.

Requirements:

  • Stakeholder and Relationship Management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Organised, self-starter, and a proven team player
  • Proven project management skills/experience
  • Strong account management experience and skills
  • Event management experience desired
  • Full Clean Driving License
  • Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal
  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, adaptable and decision-making ability
  • Good attention to detail.
