Sales & Marketing Manager

Our client a leading technology provider is seeking a Sales and Marketing Manager.
The Sales Manager will lead the sales and new business development strategy for the company to enable a strong company footprint to be established and maintained in Ireland. This role will be responsible for the generation of new business for the company. This role will report directly to the CEO and will also functionally report to the Business Development Manager for Europe.

Job Skills & Requirements:
• Proactively develop a business development and sales plan to identify, assess and propose solutions to our target market
• Develop strong relationships to explore with key stakeholders their strategy to identify areas for new business development and sales
• Develop marketing activity in conjunction with the marketing function to support sales and business development in Ireland
• Provide business oversight in preparation of proposal responses in line with internal review processes for key strategic initiatives with State and Local
Authority bodies.
• Provide expert advice and recommendations on contract terms & conditions for all tenders and new business proposals aligned with the Group strategy.
• Provide direction to CEO and Senior Management Team on best tender contract structure, terms & conditions and ensures effective management of the overall
contract during contractual performance.
• Perform contract negotiations with the customer and supports Contracts leadership during higher level negotiations and contract definition.
• Identify and resolve contract and proposal issues, risk areas, and implications of emerging contractual issues.
• Interact daily and effectively communicates with CEO and relevant stakeholders, relevant client (local authority/government personnel) on a variety of
contract issues.
• Monitor and report on all sales activity to CEO and stakeholders.
• Conduct regular market analysis research for related Sales and Marketing activities in this sector and report to CEO on trends, data, analysis etc.
• Develop marketing activities in line with sales and marketing strategy (marketing mix).

Education
• Degree in an associated discipline required (or equivalent in experience and education).
• Master’s Degree in business, economics or related field

Experience
• Must have hands on experience in dealing with the sales and marketing cycles of Government and Local Government contract awards.
• Experienced contract tendering, sales management and acquisition of Irish/UK Government Contracts.
• Professional Services Sales Experience with Minimum 10 years of experience within either Government or Private industry with an emphasis in tender
management, contract negotiation, contract placement and contract/services management.
• Must have experience in a regulated environment.
• Subject Matter Expert to include areas such as, but not limited to the following: state/government tender applications and processes, contract
modifications, contract compliance, contract requirements, contract changes, proposal preparation, Non-Disclosure Agreements, and contract negotiations.

Personal Specification:
• 10 plus years’ working experience in Sales and New Business Development specifically addressing the state/local authority market.
• Strong Experience with project management/change management with a track record of success
• Technical Sales experience (Utilities, Telecoms, Tolling Systems, Telephony B2B, Technical Services)
• Senior stakeholder management and communication experience
• A high level of integrity is essential as well as an understanding of the importance of protecting the interests of the company while also assuring
customer satisfaction.
• Proven experience in the sales and marketing of complex IT infrastructure/systems
• Fosters a high-performance culture through aligning performance expectations with overall business goals. Encourages an open exchange of information and
viewpoints, actively listens to others.
• Translates development goals into actionable plans. Makes timely, confident decisions.
• Results orientated, proactive and reactive
